London Division 18 Group squad

19 December 2006

December 19

Essex boys dominate the London & South East Division squad taking part in next month's Divisional Festival in the West Midlands.

There are seven players in the 24-man party from rugby's newest county, who were granted Constituent Body status by the RFU two years ago.

Three come from a single club - hooker Reece Durrance, fly-half Robert Smith and centre David Cosgrove all play for Westcliff, county champions in their age-group for the last five seasons.

They are joined by Stefan North (Thurrock & Saracens), Sean Morris (South Woodham Ferrers), Robert Gash (Campion School) and Matthew Chambers (Bishop Stortford).

London & SE play the Midlands at Walsall RFC on December 28 (3pm kick-off) and then face either the North or the South West on December 30 at RFC Castlecroft near Wolverhampton.

The Divisional Festival is part of the selection process for one of this season's England Under-18 teams.

They will play Wales, Italy and Scotland in March before defending their title at the Association of European Rugby tournament in Biarritz from March 30 to April 8.

England also have an Under-18 Six Nations squad drawn from the Junior National Academy and the Regional Academy sides who play Wales (February 25) and France (March 24) before taking part in the Six Nations Festival in Glasgow from April 8-14.
