European Challenge Cup
All five English sides are on track to qualify for the quarter finalsof the Challenge Cup with two rounds of matches left and they could all clinch a quarter final place in the next round of fixtures early in the New Year. Four sides, Bath, Worcester, Leeds and Sale, lead their Pool's whilst Newcastle are 2nd in Pool 3.
Bath lead Pool 1 by eight points from French club Albi who they thrashed 59-15 at the Rec on Saturday with Ollie Barkley scoring a seocnd half brace of tries after coming on as a replacement.
In Pool 2 Worcester Warriors are eight points clear of Montauban after their comprehensive 66-16 win in Italy against Gram Parma which saw a four try return from All Black winger Rico Gear
Pool 3 sees Newcastle trail Brive by a point after their 39-0 win at Kingston Park over Irish province Connacht
Sale Sharks were 32-10 winners over French side Bayonne on Thursday night and lead the Pool by seven points
Leeds Carnegie still lead Pool 5 by two points from Castres despite their narrow 27-26 defeat in Italy against Calvisano.
