The Midlands selectors have been forced to reshuffle their squad for the Under-18 Divisional Festival at Broadstreet RFC near Coventry from December 21 to 23.
North Midlands lock Joel Galley (Ellesmere College Rhyl) has been forced to withdraw from the squad because of a shoulder injury which has prevented him from training with the Midlands squad and his place has been taken by his county team-mate James Freeman (Bromsgrove School and Camp Hill).
North Midlands number eight James King (Ellesmere College and Mold) has also withdrawn from the Midlands squad having been included in the Wales Under-18 36-strong training squad. His place at Broadstreet has been taken by Luke Willmott of Motts, Lincs & Derbyshire.
The Midlands will open the Divisional Festival with a game against the South West at Broadstreet on December 21 (11am) and they will close it on December 23 when they play London & SE at 1pm. They will return to Broadstreet on December 30 for a further Divisional Match against the North.
The Divisional matches form an important part in the selection process for the England Under-18 squad that will compete in this season's AER Championship in Italy in March.
