The Rugby Football Union Management Board today approved the recommendation of Elite Rugby Director, Rob Andrew MBE, to re-appoint Brian Ashton as England Head Coach and to keep the same coaching team of John Wells and Mike Ford in place.

Rob Andrew's recommendation followed the conclusion of the RFU RWC 2007 review, which included the completion of questionnaires followed by one-on-one interviews with the England RWC management team and the RWC playing squad.

Rob Andrew said "It's been a thorough review and a process that everyone from the coaches to the players and the management all supported. I'm delighted that Brian and his coaching team will remain with England and, like them, I'm looking forward to what will be a challenging international year in 2008."

Rob Andrew and Brian Ashton will host a press conference at Twickenham Stadium tomorrow (Thursday, December 20) at 1.30pm.
