Bristol Academy Director Geoff Moon was last night (Wednesday) thanked for his work with Bristol-based England Women players, Catherine Spencer, Sophie Hemming and Monica Lewinska, with a special presentation.

Moon, who is returning home to New Zealand in the New Year, has played an instrumental role in helping develop these three players into world class athletes through the Rugby Football Union for Women's Premiership Academy partnership.

England Assistant Coach Graham Smith said: "Considering Geoff's demanding work load with Bristol Academy, he has still managed to have a massive impact on the development of players like Catherine, Monica and Sophie. He has been instrumental to their improvement, and the players as well as myself and the rest of the England coaching team would like to thank him for all his hard work. He has been key to our success on the field and we wish him well in his future."

England Captain and Bristol player Spencer, along with her club and country teammates Hemming and Lewinska, presented Moon with an England shirt on Wednesday evening at Bristol's Clifton Lane training ground.

Spencer and Hemming will be in action for England this Saturday when they play an Ireland President's XV at St. Mary's RFC in Dublin, kick-off 230pm.
