MOSELEY back-row forward Neil Mason won his appeal against the issue of a second yellow card in the National League One game against Leeds Carnegie last month when he appeared before a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel this evening.
Mason was sent off after he received two yellow cards in the match at Headingley on November 23, the first for a technical offence and the second for allegedly tackling a line-out jumper in the air.
But Mason's appeal against the second yellow card was upheld by the panel. The yellow card was rescinded and Mason's sending-off was quashed.
The hearing was held at the Coventry M6 Holiday Inn Hotel and the panel comprised Sean Enright (chairman), Geoff Payne and Bob Taylor.
