Cullompton RFC hosted trials for this year's Devon County Under 18s and Under 15s squads on September 28th.
In total 38 girls attended, and the girls started the trial session with a 30 minute warm-up, before splitting into forwards and backs for an initial assessment by the coaches. Then it was into match play with the girls split into two teams for two games of 20 minutes each way.
The players face a lot of travelling this season with their home fixture against Cornwall, the infamous Tamar Cup, on November 9th at Exeter Saracens followed by away fixtures on November 30th against Gloucestershire and then Dorset & Wilts on December 14th.
The organisers of the girls' trials would like to thank the Devon Junior Committee for their full support of the girls at both age groups and also Vospers, Island Sports and Ardosia Slate who are also sponsoring both squads this year.
