- Flanker Tom Rees’ injury rehabilitation reviewed
- Decision on surgery will be made on Wednesday
England and Wasps flanker Tom Rees will find out on Wednesday (October 7) whether he will undergo further surgery on his right shoulder.
Following a plateau in his rehabilitation Rees was reviewed again by his surgeon for the possibility of an additional procedure. A final consultation will take place on Wednesday where a decision on how to proceed will be made.
Despite the 25-year-old’s absence from the Guinness Premiership so far this season, his Wasps team have won three out of their four matches, suffering just one defeat away to London Irish.
In Rees’ absence, veteran French flanker Serge Betsen has captained the Londoners to victories over Worcester Warriors, Bath and local rivals Harlequins.
