England centre Riki Flutey is set to miss the upcoming November internationals after an arthroscopic examination of his left shoulder labrum concluded that the New Zealand born playmaker will be unavailable for a period of up to three months.
The injury means that CA Brive’s summer recruit from Wasps is highly unlikely take part in England’s Investec Challenge internationals against Australia, Argentina and New Zealand.
After making his debut against the Pacific Islands in November 2008, Flutey went on to play in all five of England's Six Nations matches this year and made the Lions squad for the tour of South Africa, making the starting line-up for the 28-9 win over the Springboks in the third Test.
