Husband called up as injuries force changes to England U16 squads

01 April 2010

  • Centre brought into England’s Four Nations party
  • Further two changes to the A squad for Wellington

Northampton centre Jordan Husband was a late call-up to the England Under 16 squad which flew to Italy today for the Four Nations Tournament in Rome.

An arm injury suffered by George Catchpole in Wednesday’s Daily Mail RBS Schools Under 18 Vase final at Twickenham ruled the unlucky Norwich School centre out of the three-match trip.

Husband had been due to captain the England U16 A squad in next week's International Festival at Wellington College but now steps up to complete the 26 players heading to Rome.

Husband has been replaced in the A squad by Nick Carpenter of Clevedon RFC and Somerset, and in another change due to injury, Max Northcote-Green is replaced by Bristol flanker Stephen Uren.
