X Factor winner Matt Cardle and runner-up Rebecca Ferguson will sing at the Big Game 3 on December 27, when Harlequins take on London Irish in the Aviva Premiership at Twickenham Stadium.

Two of the ITV talent show’s brightest stars will add some glitz and glamour to the annual festive treat of Premiership Rugby, which is sponsored by LV=.

Matt and Rebecca will perform before the game, alongside former contestant Jamie 'Afro' Archer, who is back to perform his rendition of the Mighty Quinn. He said: “Big Game 2 was by far my favourite gig since leaving X Factor and I can't wait to perform again this year.”

The Big Game has a history of producing thrilling entertainment, with London Wasps triumphing 21-20 last year despite a final minute try by former Quins wing David Strettle.

Then two years ago, trailing by 10 points and with five minutes left, Harlequins produced an irresistible comeback to secure a 26-26 draw with Leicester Tigers after England wing Ugo Monye sprinted over and Nick Evans converted in the dying seconds.

This year Harlequins are privileged to have Help a London Child as the charity partner for the special LV=Big Game 3 shirt. In addition to money raised from sales of the shirt, Quins have pledged that £1 will go to this charity on every ticket sold following the announcement of Matt’s involvement.

With 70 per cent of seats being priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children, it is great value for money – meaning you can spoil the family that little bit more at Christmas, see some great rugby, world class entertainment and help disadvantaged children in London.
