Tickets for what is anticipated to be the biggest and most successful Women’s Rugby World Cup (WRWC) ever are on sale now exclusively through Ticketmaster.

WRWC 2010 tickets are available now, online through the Ticketmaster website or by telephone 0844 844 2010.

The Rugby Football Union will host the world’s best 12 teams in August and September as they battle it out over 30 matches, all striving to become world champions on September 5th. The latest news on the Women's Rugby World Cup 2010 is available from the IRB's WRWC site.

New Zealand are the title holders, but after a successful RBS 6 Nations campaign, hosts England will be looking to take advantage of their home advantage and world number two ranking.

The showpiece tournament kicks-off on August 20th at the impressive new multi-million pound Surrey Sports Park in Guildford, which will host all of the pool games. Twickenham’s The Stoop, home of Guinness Premiership side Harlequins, will then provide a top-class finale to the tournament with the semi finals and final staged at the 14,200 capacity stadium.

England Captain Catherine Spencer, who this weekend guided her side to a record breaking fifth successive RBS 6 Nations title and Grand Slam crown, said: “Tickets for the WRWC 2010 go on sale today and we really want all England rugby fans to come and support us!

“The players are so excited about taking part in a World Cup on home soil. We have been training hard and building up to this tournament for several years and I’m sure that the games will demonstrate this commitment.

“Having beaten the world champions at Twickenham in November we go into this tournament with confidence and the knowledge that we are capable of beating the best teams in the world.

“This summer will be a great opportunity for anyone who has not experienced top level women’s rugby to come and enjoy the spectacle first hand.”

Fans can opt to buy full tournament passes or individual match day tickets starting at just £10.

In an innovative link-up, rugby fans who buy tickets for the WRWC 2010 will automatically be put on a priority ticketing information list for the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England.

Fans that purchase tickets for the WRWC 2010 event will be added to a database and will receive information and updates from the RFU on the RWC 2015 tournament plans as they unfold, including information on the RWC 2015 public ticketing process.
