- Nottingham to host Young Leaders Camp
- Midlands volunteers sought by the RFU
The RFU are looking for 80 of the country’s top Young Leaders to take part in the RFU National Young Leaders Camp which will be held at Nottingham Trent University from August 10 to 12.
The event will focus on the development of leadership skills through sport through a combination of practical and theory-based sessions.
The camp will be run by RFU-trained staff and include sessions on Running a Club, Rugby Coaching, Rugby Refereeing, Presentation Skills and Personal Development Plans.
The camp follows a successful similar event 12 months ago which was attended by 50 young leaders from across the country.
After the weekend, our young leaders will go on to join their local vRugby team as Club Activators and lead vRugby projects at their local clubs
Activities, food and two nights accommodation are paid for but the young person will have to get themselves to and from the event at their own expense.
Nominations are sought from volunteers aged between 16 and 19 from the Midlands to join the RFU National Young Leaders Camp.
Entries should be made to: Paula Hanson, Rugby Football Union, Rugby House, Twickenham Stadium, 200 Whitton Road, Twickenham, TW2 7BA or email to: vRugby@therfu.com
The closing date is June 11.
