Rarely do young players generate as much excitement and anticipation as 18-year-old George Ford has done in his fledgling years.
The England U20 and Leicester Tigers fly half is fresh off the back of an U20 6 Nations Grand Slam and ended the tournament as top point’s scorer, amassing an impressive 76 points at an average of over 15 points per game.
But it isn’t all kicking practise and gym work, and RFU.com caught up with George to discover a little bit more about him as a person:

How do you like to relax outside of the rugby bubble?
I like to play a bit of golf and just spend time with my family and friends.
Best and worst trainers in the England camp.
We all train pretty hard, but the best would probably be split between my Leicester teammates Matt Everard & Ryan Bower and Worcester Warriors flanker Matt Kvesic.
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
Probably Spain, always nice to get a bit of sunshine.
Cleverest player in the England squad?
Henry Thomas – he goes to Uni up in Manchester, so he must be quite bright.
Fondest childhood memory?
Watching my Dad play rugby is up there, as well as my very first rugby game.
Talk us through your ideal three course meal
Crispy aromatic duck for starter, a nice chicken dinner for main course and a hot chocolate fudge cake to round it all off.
If money was no object what car would you drive?
An Audi R8, they’re lovely cars.
You’re stuck on a desert island with one luxury item, what is it?
What are your top three films of all time?
Gladiator, The Grinch and Any Given Sunday.
What is the furthest you have ever ran?

Just listening to Ryan Bower to be honest, he’s got some great chat.
Which rugby club do you support and who is your favourite current player?
I support Leicester Tigers and I think that Ben Youngs is a great player.
