England Under 16s have called up back row forward Dan Grange for their international against Wales Under 16s at Fylde RFC on Sunday April 24 (2.30pm).

Grange, of Ilkley GS, Ilkley RFC, Leeds Carnegie Academy and Yorkshire, scored four tries in two matches for the England Reds in the Wellington Festival earlier this week including an opening day hat-trick in the win over Canada Under 17s.

He has been promoted to the England Under 16s team because Oxfordshire’s Joshua Poole suffered a back injury in the opening minutes of the 16-6 win over Italy Under 17s at Macclesfield on Wednesday.

Grange has been named as a replacement for the Wales match with Jack Barnard, who replaced Poole against Italy, starting.

England have made just one more change with Alexander 15 Elliot Cox (Reading Blue Coat School, Redingensians RFC, London Irish Academy and Berkshire) with Alexander Lundberg starting at loosehead prop instead of William Hunt who has been named among the replacements.
