Northampton and Harlequins are flying the flag for England in Europe this weekend and we get the thoughts from each camp.

Northampton Saints full back Ben Foden says that there’s nothing quite like knock-out rugby at the highest level, as the Saints come up against Perpignan at Stadium:mk in the Heineken Cup semi-final:

“They’re one off games," hes said. "We’ve done everything right and a home semi puts us in a good position and hopefully we can make it through to the final. We’ve had plenty of time to prepare ourselves and hopefully it will be an interesting and entertaining game.”

Former England international and Amlin ambassador Lawrence Dallaglio says that it’s time for Saints to step up to plate in their first Heineken Cup semi in four years.

“It’s a bit of a watershed game for Northampton,” he said. “They’ve been knocking on the door now for a couple of seasons, last year they came unstuck against Munster away, this season they did well in the group stage and have given themselves a home quarter-final and a home semi-final."

Dallaglio added: “They’ve got a big test against Perpignan; it will be a fascinating contest. Home advantage is a big factor for Saints, if they come out fired up then there’s no reason why they shouldn’t get through to the final.”
