Leicester and England flanker Tom Croft will take another step towards full match fitness tonight after he was named in the Tigers' starting XV to face Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership.

Leicester welcome back Croft, along with England team-mate Julian White, for their trip to Edgeley Road following three months on the sidelines with a fractured shoulder suffered on international duty in the autumn.

The flanker made an appearance off the bench against Wasps last weekend and now takes the next step in recovery having opted to remain at Leicester and complete his rehabilitation rather than join up with the England squad for their RBS 6 Nations fixture with France.

White making first start since November

Prop White will be making his first start since November having been troubled by injury and the presence of Martin Castrogiovanni.

Despite the absence of eleven players either through injury or international duty, Richard Cockerill's men continue to top the Aviva Premiership table and the Tigers boss has called for more of the same against struggling Sale.

"We've been going well and, although some of the teams around us have games in hand, we're just focusing on what we are doing," said the Tigers boss.
