- Hooker set to earn 97th cap at Nations Cup in Canada
England’s most capped player of all time, Amy Garnett, has been called up to the England squad to compete in the Nations Cup in Canada in August.
The Saracens hooker, who has 96 caps and has competed in three Rugby World Cups, replaces Richmond’s Emma Croker who has withdrawn from the squad.
England Head Coach Gary Street said: "It is fantastic that we can call upon someone of Amy’s calibre into the squad. This will be a tough and physical tournament and her wealth of experience will bring much to our campaign.
"I know that Amy will be as determined as ever to put all her efforts into helping England defend their Nations Cup title."
England will play Canada, the USA and South Africa over the 11-day tournament, based at Appleby College, Toronto.
