In this week’s RFU Podcast we feature two prominent hookers, England’s Dylan Hartley and former South Africa skipper John Smit, plus former England women’s captain Sue Day.

We met Northampton Saints captain Hartley at the launch of this season’s Heineken Cup, where the 25-year-old told us he is eager to bounce back from disappointment at the World Cup.

"It took me a couple of weeks to readjust and get back to normal life,” he told the podcast. "I’m feeling better within myself and it’s good to be home and playing again."

Our other hooker this week, Smit, explains he’s joined Saracens to get maximum enjoyment from his remaining years and looks back at the peaks of his incredible career.

Meanwhile, Day has hung up her boots but found a daunting challenge on the slopes of Mount Everest in aid of the Wooden Spoon charity.
