October Touchline is available now with news of Josh Lewsey, Will Greenwood and Danny Grewcock joining Scotland’s Kenny Logan in rising to the Heroes Challenge.

The charity match at Twickenham on December 3 aims to raise more than a million pounds for Help for Heroes and marks the tenth anniversary of our Armed Forces operations in Afghanistan.

There’s news, too, of a record autumn for England Women as they take on France away and New Zealand’s world champion Black Ferns in a three-Test series between November 2 and December 3.

Eden Park, the official formalwear supplier to the RFU, are looking to make one team Britain’s Best Dressers Rugby Club. The Sun & Anchor sevens side from Lincolnshire could be in with a chance – they can justifiably tell the family they are popping down the pub to play rugby!

Meanwhile, props and vets from Hastings & Bexhill RFC swim the Channel and news on young offenders benefitting from learning to play rugby at Gren Parva HMYOI.

Aaron Williams, who suffered a serious spinal cord injury, is also seen flying through the air in his amazing dirt buggy thanks to help from the RFU’s Injured Players Foundation.

Finally, everyone is reminded that they can get 'mates’ rates' by ordering training equipment and kit through the RFU as well as being alerted to a salutary tale of a club whose committee members weren’t protected from liability.
