Girls from St Edward’s School in Staffordshire will have the opportunity to play on the hallowed turf at Twickenham Stadium later this month.
St Edward’s year eight team advanced tag rugby team were crowned champions at the recent Midlands West regional tournament at Five Ways OE,beating St John Fisher four tries to two in the final.
St Edward’s, who progressed to the finals day from the Staffordshire qualifying tournament, beat Haybridge HS in their semi-final.
St Edward’s will now play at Twickenham during the half-time interval of the Army v Royal Navy Babcock Trophy match on April 28.
''Although there were not as many teams entered as last year the standard has certainly improved throughout, especially when you consider that most of the girls hadn't picked up a rugby ball until a few weeks ago," said Ant Collins, the Community Rugby Coach who ran the tournament.
"As part of the rugby community we all need to strive to be able to present girls with the opportunity to play rugby whether it's tag or contact'."
