With today's FIRA tournament final against Ireland, live on www.ferugby.com, just around the corner, England Under 18 prop Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi feels that the forwards will have a big part to play come the 15.45pm (BST) kick off.

Ireland got the better of France in the other semi-final and Northampton Saints man Hobbs-Awoyemi, who started the 22-16 win against Wales, is looking forward to the game.

“The scrums went well against Wales, our set-piece was good and we worked hard around the pitch.

“We have to make sure we keep that going into the Ireland game because it could prove crucial. It was a great feeling to get that win and we can’t wait for the final now.

“No England Under 18 side has won this competition so this is a good opportunity for us and we’re confident that if we perform as well as we know we can, everything else will follow.”

With five fellow Saints in the England U18 set-up, the club is well represented, but Hobbs-Awoyemi says that the camaraderie among the whole squad is second-to-none.

“It’s great to have the Saints lads in here and to have some familiar faces, but to be honest we’ve really gelled as a team and there a no cliques or groups – we’re one big team and really proud to wear the shirt.”
