The Aviva Premiership is back this weekend and one man who hopes to make his mark this campaign is Northampton Saints skipper and England hooker Dylan Hartley.

The 26-year-old Saint says that he’s fully motivated for a “big start and hopefully a big finish” this season, and first up is Gloucester, under the new stewardship of Director of Rugby Nigel Davies.

Hartley said: “The first game might not be at home for us but we’re going down to Gloucester which is a cool place to play. They’ve had a few changes down there so I don’t know what to expect from them but you can be certain that it will be physical and passionate, and it’s usually pretty hot!

“The intensity always goes up a few notches from pre-season matches when the actual season starts so I’m sure that there will be a few tired legs and some burning lungs but I can’t wait.”

On this week’s Premiership special podcast we also hear from: Harlequins captain Chris Robshaw, London Wasps skipper Hugo Southwell, Saracens lock Steve Borthwick, London Irish captain Declan Danaher and more.
