HIGHLIGHTS - England Under 18 South Africa Tour

30 August 2012

  • The tries from England Under 18's tour to South Africa
  • Three match tour against Wales, France and SA

England Under 18 Head Coach John Fletcher said that his side could have “won all three matches or lost all three matches” after this summer’s tour to South Africa.

England beat Wales 28-25 in their opening game but a 20-13 loss to France and a 36-29 reverse against South Africa Schools consigned Fletcher’s side to one win in three.

But such was the closeness in the results that Fletcher wasn’t too downbeat and said: “I can’t fault our performances, particularly against South Africa, I thought that we were the better rugby side – although they were definitely the bigger side!

“Our lads gave everything, their work rate was excellent and it’s just a shame that we couldn’t get the win. We’ve ended up with one win on this tour but we could have ended up with no wins, or we could have ended up with three wins. The margins in all of the games have been close and all four sides competing were very close."
