- Market Harborough hosts East Midlands match
- North Midlands face NLD in Midlands opener
Leicestershire will begin their defence of the Midlands Under 20 title when they host East Midlands at Market Harborough in their opening match in this season’s National Under 20 Championship on February 1.
Leicestershire won the Midlands title for the first time last season when they beat Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire 18-8 at Broadstreet in the final which was contested by the two group winnners.
The groups remain the same this season with Warwickshire and Cambridge University joining Leicestershire and East Midlands in Group A.
North Midlands, Staffordshire and Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire will comprise the three team Group B. The opening match in Group B will be between North Midlands and NLD at Moseley’s Billesley Common ground on Monday January 30.
The Midlands final will be played on March 14 with the winner representing the region in the national semi-finals on April 15.
The Midlands will play their annual fixture against London & SE on March 25 followed by a Divisional Weekend from April 6 and 8.

Midlands Group A
February 1: Leicestershire v East Midlands at Market Harborough (7.15pm), Cambridge University v Warwickshire at Grange Road (7.30pm).
February 15: East Midlands v Cambridge University at Luton (7.30pm), Warwickshire v Leicestershire at Broadstreet (7.30pm).
February 29: Leicestershire v Cambridge University at South Leicester (7.3opm), Warwickshire v East Midlands at Broadstreet (7.30pm).

January 30: North Midlands v Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire at Moseley (7.45pm)
February 29: NLD v Staffordshire at Mansfield (7.30pm)
