- We’ve got a lot of respect for them – Sinckler
England Under 20 prop Kyle Sinckler says that England did well to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against Ireland in the IRB Junior World Championship, but insists that focus is now fully on South Africa.
The nineteen-year-old scored England decisive second try in the 20-15 win against the Irish, and pinpoints half time as the turning point.
“We were 15-3 down at the break,” he said. “So we had a good chat about what we needed to do to win the game. We believed in ourselves and really dug in to get the result.”
On the challenge of the Baby Boks, Sinckler added: “South Africa in South Africa is a massive game and a massive challenge, but one we’re really looking forward to.
“We’ve got a lot of respect for them, they’re a really good side, but at the same time we’re a really good side. We’ll stick to our processes and stick to what we do well and I’m sure the result will look after itself. "
