- Two conferences set for Twickenham on July 4

The RFU in partnership with PRL and RPA is running a joint strength and conditioning and medical conference at Twickenham on July 4.
The strength and conditioning conference theme is strength and power for rugby and is aimed at high level strength and conditioning coaches as well as level 4 rugby coaches.
Presenters for the day include three Strongmen; Glen Ross, Ed Hall and Jonathan Kelly, as well as England forwards coach Graham Rowntree, Matt Lovell, Professor Rob Newton and Tommy Yule. All of the speakers’ profiles along with the programme are available for download here (Word 2MB).
Attendance is free for staff from the Aviva Premiership, Championship and England rugby union teams. Other delegates are asked to pay a conference fee of £50 to cover the cost of catering. The medical conference theme is the cervical spine in rugby union and is aimed at medical practitioners, physiotherapists and other health care professionals who work in rugby. The majority of the delegates will be from the Aviva Premiership and Championship and the England teams but other interested health care professionals are welcome.
Presenters for the day include team doctors, orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, academic researchers, as well as current and retired professional rugby players. The full programme for the day can be found here (2MB).
