PRESS CONFERENCE – Lancaster and Rowntree

20 March 2012

  • England coaches Stuart Lancaster and Graham Rowntree review RBS 6 Nations
  • Topics include head coach position, team spirit and progression in eight weeks

Interim Head Coach Stuart Lancaster and Forwards Coach Graham Rowntree hosted a media session today, three days after rounding of the RBS 6 Nations campaign with a resounding 30-9 victory over Ireland at Twickenham.

Under Lancaster England won four from five games – with the only loss by a single try to Grand Slam Champions Wales – and made history by becoming the first England side to win three away fixtures.

In an open press conference with written and broadcast media at Twickenham Stadium, the pair discussed topics including the permanent Head Coach position; the upcoming tour to South Africa; player development through the tournament; progression as a side after eight weeks together; and the spirit in the squad.

We’ll have exclusive interviews with both Lancaster and Rowntree online in due course.
