- Broadstreet to host regional showpiece
- Midlands selectors out in force
Players from all six Midlands counties will have the chance to press their claims for inclusion in this season Midlands Under 18 squad when they compete in the annual Super Sunday tournament at Broadstreet RFC near Coventry on Sunday November 18.
Three matches will be played during Super Sunday which will allow all players to be seen and assessed by the Midlands selectors in the same place on the same day.
The selectors have already been out in force at matches played across the region in the past month during which the six Midlands counties were split into two groups, with each county playing two matches.
Staffordshire will play Leicestershire in the opening match on Super Sunday at 10.30am with Warwickshire playing East Midlands at 12.30pm.
North Midlands, who beat Warwickshire and Staffordshire in their group matches, will play Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire in the Super Sunday finale at 2.30pm.
The Midlands selectors will meet on November 21 after which an extended squad to take part in the Midlands Trial at Loughborough GS on December 2 will be announced.
