England Under 20 have been drawn alongside Six Nations rivals and hosts France, defending champions South Africa and newcomers USA for the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship.

Head Coach Rob Hunter’s side will play their three Pool A games at the Stade Henri Desgrange in the French town of La Roche-sur-Yon.

Hosts France are up first on June 5 before England take on South Africa on June 9 and USA on June 13. The group represents a tough challenge for Hunter and Assistant Nick Walshe and Hunter said: "The quality of the competition gets better every year and opening against the hosts will be a massive challenge."

"The reason we want to play in the tournament is to test yourself against the best in the world, we are getting that and more. To have the hosts, the world champions and one of the sports best up and coming teams is a huge opportunity."

Hunter added: "We have a strong squad to choose from and 10 guys who played in the 2012 Junior World Championship, those guys need to draw on their experience and work hard to help the team get the preparation right."

"However, as excited as we are about the JWC, first and foremost we have a Six Nations title to defend and all our focus is on preparing for that and our first game against Scotland in Plymouth on February 1."

England have been runners up in the competition on three occasions in 2008, 2009 and 2011, losing out to New Zealand each time.
