RFU Championship club London Scottish FC is set to host the oldest Varsity rugby match in the world for a second consecutive time on Friday, as Edinburgh take on St Andrews at Richmond Athletic.
The two sides descend on the Richmond Athletic Ground this Friday - St Andrews Day – with St Andrews looking to avenge the 39-0 thrashing handed to them by rivals Edinburgh in the corresponding fixture last year.
This unique fixture between the two Universities, which first started more than 150 years ago, predates the annual Oxford vs. Cambridge Varsity match at Twickenham on December 6, and will see the top men’s rugby sides extend their age-old rivalry.
All alumni, rugby supporters, friends and family from all over the world are welcome to attend the game, which kicks off at 7.30pm. There will be numerous rugby celebrities in attendance, backing their respective University camps, and there will also be a late bar license and a live band playing after the game for revellers to get into the St Andrews Day spirit.
Tickets to the game can be booked online at www.londonscottish.com or by calling the club on 0208 940 7156.
