Seventeen West Midlands Schools will be taking part in the annual Army-sponsored Schools Sevens tournament at Stourbridge’s Stourton Park ground on Thursday, October 18 (10.30am-3pm).

The event, which is now in its eleventh year, has a different format this year. Instead of qualifying through regional events for the finals day, the schools in action this week have been invited to take part as the next stage in the development work they have been doing with the RFU’s team of Community Rugby Coaches in the region.

The finals day involves three competitions – boys contact, girls contact and girls tag – and the finalists are from schools in Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
