- Mullan arriving in Burton as injury cover for Marler
- Hartley and Lawes to have scans on knee injuries this evening
Worcester Warriors prop Matt Mullan will join up with the England squad at St George’s Park tonight as cover for Harlequins loosehead Joe Marler, who has a tight hamstring.
Mullan, 25, has made one Test appearance and started both midweek games on the 2012 summer tour to South Africa.
Northampton Saints forwards Dylan Hartley and Courtney Lawes are undergoing scans on their knee injuries this evening. The pair were both forced off with knee injuries during their side’s 16-6 defeat to Saracens at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday.
An update on the severity of the injuries will be available at 5pm tomorrow when the scans have been analysed.
England are in Burton for a four day camp ahead of the inaugural QBE Internationals, which sees Fiji (November 10), Australia (November 17), South Africa (November 24) and New Zealand (December 1) visit Twickenham on successive Saturdays this autumn.
