- Luctonians host six county event
- Midlands selectors out in force
Players from all six Midlands Constituent Bodies will have the chance to press their claims for inclusion in this season Midlands Under 16 squad when the first of two Super Sunday tournaments is staged at Luctonians RFC in Herefordshire on Sunday November 4.
Three matches will be played during a busy day of youth rugby which allows all players to be seen and graded by the Midlands selectors in the same place on the same day.
The Super Sunday starts at 11am with hosts North Midlands playing Staffordshire. Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire will play East Midlands at 1pm with Warwickshire playing Leicestershire on an adjoining pitch at the same time.
The second Super Sunday of the season will be staged at Scunthorpe RFC on November 18 with fixtures to be decided after the Luctonians event.
The Midlands trial will take place on December 16 after which the Midlands selectors will announce a squad to prepare for the Development Weekend at Broadstreet RFC near Coventry from February 1 to 3.
