On this week’s RFU Podcast we hear from one of the latest additions to Ben Ryan’s England Sevens squad, former England Under 18 and Under 20 captain Alex Gray.

The talented London Irish back row has found game time hard to come by with the Exiles and is relishing a move to the shorter format of the game. The 21 year old said: “I felt like I needed a change, I was almost treading water in the Premiership and when I when I weighed up the positives and negatives of joining the sevens set-up, the positives far outweighed it.

“It was a no-brainer for me to give sevens a shot and it gives me a chance to work on my game. I’m still young, I’m only 21 but I’m really looking forward to the opportunity.”
