- Defending champions face Hampton in semis
- Felsted through to two Vase semi-finals
Dulwich College, the reigning Daily Mail RBS Schools Under 18 Cup champions, have been kept apart from past winners Warwick School in this season’s semi-finals draw.
Dulwich, who beat Old Swinford Hospital School 15-8 in last season’s final at Twickenham Stadium, will face London rivals Hampton School in the first semi-final at Broadstreet RFC near Coventry on March 2 (11am).
Warwick, who beat Barnard Castle School 24-23 in a thriller in the 2007 final, will face Northampton School for Boys, who have reached the Under 18 Cup semi-finals for the first time, in an all-Midlands tie at 1pm.
Warwick School are also through to the semi-finals of the Daily Mail RBS Schools Under 15 Cup and will also face Midlands opposition in Bromsgrove School at Broadstreet on March 9 (11am).
QEGS Wakefield, who were beaten 16-3 by Bedford School in the 2006 final, will play Bishop Heber GS from Cheshire in the second semi-final at 1pm on March 9.
Felsted School from Essex are through to the semi-finals of both the Daily Mail RBS Schools Under 18 Vase and Under 15 Vase.
Felsted’s opponents in the Under 18 Vase semi-finals at Broadstreet on March 3 (11am) are not yet known but will be either QEGS Ashbourne, King’s School Grantham or St Ambrose College.
The winners of the Plymouth College v Tiffin School quarter-final will play Yarm School in the second semi-final on March 3 (1pm).
In the Under-15 Vase semi-finals, Felsted will play Emanuel School at Broadstreet on March 10 (11am) with Royal Latin School from Buckingham facing Kirkham GS in the second tie at 1pm.
All semi-finals will be broadcast live on RFU.com as will Finals Day of the premier schools rugby competition which will be played at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday March 23.
The Under 15 Vase final will kick off the day at 11am followed by the Under 15 Cup final at 12.30pm, the Under 18 Vase final at 2pm and the Under 18 Cup final at 3.40pm.
This season marks the 25th year of Daily Mail RBS Schools rugby. The Under 15 Cup was launched in 1988 when Royal Grammar School, Guildford claimed the inaugural title following a 12-0 victory over Wellington College.
Three years later the Under 18 Cup competition began with King Edward VI, Stratford nudging passed Bishop Wordsworth School to lift the Cup.
The Under 15 Vase, which began in 2004, was the fourth competition to be played under the Daily Mail RBS Schools banner.
