Leicester Tigers' Cockerill to appear before RFU disciplinary panel

  • Leicester Tigers' Director of Rugby charged with conduct prejudicial to the interests of the Game
  • Alleged incident occurred following Aviva Premiership final on May 25

Richard Cockerill (Leicester Tigers) is to appear before an RFU disciplinary panel after being charged by the RFU with conduct prejudicial to the interests of the Game, contrary to RFU Rule 5.12, following the Aviva Premiership final match between Leicester Tigers RFC and Northampton Saints RFC played at Twickenham Stadium on May 25, 2013. 

It is alleged that Cockerill used obscene, inappropriate and/or unprofessional language and behaviour in exchanges with Stuart Terheege, the 4th Official.

The hearing date, venue and time will be confirmed in due course.
