The London Women’s Invitational Sevens is taking place in Twickenham this weekend (May 11-12) and will be streamed live on and available to view worldwide.

With the Rugby World Cup Sevens just around the corner, this tournament carries extra significance and hosts England, reigning World Champions Australia, France, Spain, the USA, Canada, Russia and Ireland will all be competing for glory as they share the stage with the men who are competing in the London Marriott Sevens.

Barry Maddocks’ England are in Pool A alongside France, Spain and Australia while USA, Canada, Ireland and Russia will compete in Pool B.

All 19 games will be streamed live on, and RFU Head of Digital Nick Shaw said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the undoubted talent and skill that presides within the women’s game.

“We’ll be streaming the competition through our own channels but we were keen to open this up to a wider audience. Competing nations will be able to host our feed on their own websites and we feel that this is a positive step as we continue to promote the women’s game.”
