England age-group graduates Elliot Daly and Sam Jones have been selected in the Barbarians side to play the British and Irish Lions in Hong Kong on Saturday.
Daly, 20, and Jones, 21, will start at outside centre and openside flanker respectively, lining up alongside stellar names from around the world.
In keeping with Barbarians tradition, they are included as uncapped players – Ulster full back Jared Payne the other member of a trio in team manager Dai Young’s match-day 23 never to have played a Test.
The remainder of the squad is hugely experienced, led by Italy No. 8 Sergio Parisse and headlined by his compatriot Martin Castrogiovanni at tighthead and prolific ex-All Black wing Joe Rokocoko.
Exeter Chiefs’ former Wallaby Dean Mumm will be looking to size up the Lions for Australia at lock, while Saracens hooker Schalk Brits gets a chance to impress from the off.

After captaining the invitational side during a 40-12 defeat to Stuart Lancaster’s England on Sunday, Mike Tindall drops to the replacements’ bench.
Daly and Jones each made an impression for the invitational side at the weekend – the former starting at full back and scoring an excellent consolation try late on, the latter coming on in the back row for indomitable Frenchman Imanol Harinordoquy to good effect.
London Wasps’ young pair previously starred in the 2011 Junior World Championship, which saw England Under 20s string together some exceptional performances before falling agonisingly short in the final to a strong New Zealand side.
Owen Farrell and Mako Vunipola – both likely to feature for the Lions in their tour curtain-raiser – were also key members of that England outfit.
Speaking after the team announcement, Barbarians skipper Parisse said: "For any player, this is a great opportunity and I know we have enough talent and skill to put the Lions under pressure."
