England Under 20 and Bath Rugby’s Anthony Watson will train with the Senior England Squad this week ahead of QBE International against Argentina at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday, November 9 (2.30pm).

The 19 year-old, who can play on the wing or at full back, has appeared in six Aviva Premiership matches for Bath this season and has starred for England’s age-grade sides in recent seasons.

Head Coach Stuart Lancaster is continuing a policy of inviting promising young players to train with his squad so he can take make a first-hand assessment of their potential. And the individuals also can get an early appreciation of the England set-up, as he explained.

“We are bringing Anthony Watson into camp because we want to take a look at him in the same way that we have done in the past with others outside the Senior or Saxons squads such as Joe Launchbury.

“Anthony is a member of the Under 20 squad and is playing well for Bath so this is a good opportunity to give him a taste of this environment.”
