- Live HD coverage of England versus Canada
- Rugby fans can watch both England Women games this autumn
Rugby fans will be able to watch live coverage of England Women’s autumn international clash against Canada on November 13 at the Twickenham Stoop, kick off 7pm, live on RFU.com.
The announcement means that England rugby fans won’t miss any of the action this autumn as they can now watch both of England Women’s games live. Sky Sports 2 will broadcast England’s match against France on November 9 from Twickenham Stadium in HD before www.rfu.com/englandwomenlive hosts live coverage of England’s all-important clash against Canada four days later.
Gary Street's side last played France in the 2013 Six Nations and a young, developing England team were on the wrong end of a 30-20 defeat. Canada too have enjoyed good wins over England this year, defeating an experimental side in two games in this summer’s Nations Cup in America. The second victory came in the final, which Canada clinched 27-13.
The full HD, five-camera feed with match commentary from former England Women’s Captain Catherine Spencer and Nick Heath, a regular voice on the Six Nations and the Premiership, as well as post-match interviews, will provide rugby fans with broadcast quality viewing as England go head to head against one of the best sides in the world.
England Women’s Head Coach Gary Street said: “It’s fantastic that our rugby fans will be able to watch both our autumn international games live if they can’t get down to Twickenham Stadium or the Twickenham Stoop. We have a fast-growing group of very dedicated fans and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to ensure as many of them as possible can see these matches.
“Sky Sports have been fantastic supporters of the women’s game for many years now while online streaming is fast becoming an option that sports fans expect of live sporting events.”
