Lichfield’s Harriet Millar-Mills has been called up as a replacement for England No. 8 Sarah Hunter for the Autumn Test Series against France and Canada.
Hunter, who captained England in the 2013 Six Nations, New Zealand series and the Nations Cup, has been forced to withdraw from the series after picking up an injury in training.
Millar-Mills, who has 17 caps, immediately joins her England teammates in camp as they prepare to take on France on November 9 at Twickenham Stadium and Canada on November 13 at the Twickenham Stoop.
England Head Coach Gary Street will name his captain for the series on Tuesday, November 5 when the team to face France is announced.
