England Women’s Head Coach Gary Street has expanded his World Cup training squad to a full complement of 30 players.

Street named a squad of 27 players in November who come together, as of January 2014, for one week every month for increased training time as the squad prepares for the Rugby World Cup in Paris in August.

And after successfully they returned to international action this year, Street has called up England fullback Danielle Waterman, centre/full back Emily Scarratt and flanker Heather Fisher.

Waterman and Fisher returned to play this month for England in the Sevens World Series in Atlanta and Brazil. Waterman had been side-lined through injury since November 2012 and Fisher last played for England at the Rugby World Cup Sevens in June 2013. Scarratt, meanwhile, missed the Autumn International Series with injury but has since featured in all of England’s Six Nations matches this season.

Street said: “It’s great to welcome these three players into the training squad. They have all come back well from injuries and proved once again they are world class players in both the Six Nations and the Sevens World Series.

“It is fantastic to have players of this experience in our set-up. We now have a training squad of 30 players but we still have a lot of exciting players outside of this squad who still very much have the opportunity to put their hands up for RWC selection ahead of the tournament in France.”
