VIDEO – England Women skills masterclass

09 July 2014

Ahead of next month’s Women’s Rugby World Cup in France, a selection of England Women stars showed RFUtv the drills they undergo to hone their specialist skills.

Aside from the basics of tackling, handling and kicking, there are different attributes required at the highest level dependant on individual positions.

These skills are demonstrated by England fly half Katy Mclean, scrum half Natasha Hunt, centre Emily Scarratt, No.8 Sarah Hunter, prop Rochelle Clark and hooker Emma Croker.

The Women’s Rugby World Cup kicks off on August 1 with England taking on Samoa in the opening round. England then face Spain on August 5 and Canada on August 9 at Marcoussis in Paris.

The semi-finals and final take place on August 13 and 17 at Stade Jean Bouin, also in Paris. All matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
