25 June 2014

  • Care, Sinckler, Pennell and Haskell on the player diary
  • Exclusive footage and informal chat from the New Zealand tour

In the ninth of RFUtv's New Zealand tour player diaries, England quartet Danny Care, Kyle Sinckler, Chris Pennell and James Haskell round off the trip at the end of the final Test week.

Care and Sinckler speak from the team’s exciting and edifying trip to a rural Maori marae outside Hamilton on the day of England’s final Test against the All Blacks.

The Harlequins duo were key members of the boy-band super-group which responded to the traditional greeting with a song of their own and they explain their emotions facing an intimidating welcome and their enjoyment of a cultural experience.

Meanwhile, Pennell and Haskell, who explain the unlikely friendship they have struck up while away in New Zealand, chat to the diary just before departure for England.

With a blend of seriousness and humour that encapsulates the tour, the pair discuss their favourite on-field and off-field moments and the best tourists among the 47-man party.
