Warren Gatland has recalled Alun-Wyn Jones and Jonathan Davies to his starting 15 for Sunday's RBS 6 Nations encounter against England at Twickenham (kick-off 3pm).

Davies made his return to competitive rugby last weekend for Scarlets after a five-month lay-off due to a pectoral injury sustained in Wales' opening autumn international against South Africa.

Jones missed last Friday's excellent defeat of France with a foot infection, but comes back to win an 83rd Test cap and swell the ranks of British and Irish Lions in Gatland's starting side to 15.

Mike Phillips is another Lion, although the scrum half stays on the bench after Rhys Webb impressed during his full debut. Davies pushes George North out to the wing, Liam Williams moving onto the replacements' bench in turn.

Wales are still in the hunt for a historic hat-trick of Championship victories, but must secure a third consecutive triumph over England in order to keep that dream alive.

In a late change, Luke Charteris has dropped out of the side and will be replaced by Jake Ball, Andrew Coombs coming onto the bench.
