National Under 17s competitions news from the Midlands

  • Draw made for Midlands semi-finals
  • Kesteven reinstated to National Under 17 Cup

Birmingham & Solihull and Wolverhampton will have home advantage in the Midlands semi-finals of the National Under 17 Cup on Sunday, March 23.

Birmingham & Solihull’s reward for beating Nuneaton in the regional quarter-finals is a home tie against Kesteven from Lincolnshire while Wolverhampton, who won 55-0 at Malvern, will host South Leicester.

Kesteven have been reinstated to the Cup after Old Northamptonians, who beat them in the regional quarter-finals, were disqualified for fielding an unregistered player.

The draws for the Midlands semi-finals of the other National Under 17 competitions are:

National Under 17 Plate: Moseley v Melbourne, Mansfield v St Neots
National Under 17 Bowl: Old Halesonians v Market Bosworth, Bromsgrove v Shispton-on-Stour
National Under 17 Shield: Hinckley v Church Stretton, Chipping Norton v Towcestrians

All ties are to be played on Sunday, March 23.
