This week on the RFU Podcast we look ahead to a weekend of European finals – Saracens taking on Toulon in the Heineken Cup and Northampton Saints taking on Bath Rugby in the Amlin Challenge Cup.

The all-Aviva Premiership affair takes place at the Cardiff Arms Park on Friday evening, and both Carl Fearns and Tom Wood are expecting a close-fought tie.

On Saturday at the Millennium Stadium, a tussle between retiring Jonny Wilkinson and Owen Farrell – dubbed as a master-against-apprentice encounter – could well determine the destination of the Heineken Cup.

Wilkinson, a 2003 Rugby World Cup-winner who confirmed this week that this season is to be his last, was on hand to give his thoughts on Saracens’ young fly half.

Toulon will doubtlessly put up a phenomenal challenge in pursuit of back-to-back European crowns. However, as Brad Barritt explains, Saracens are primed to meet the Top 14 giants.

There is also an update from England Head Coach Stuart Lancaster, who offers an insight into preparations for the tour of New Zealand and pays tribute to the Wilkinson – a giant of the sport.

Finally, Bristol Rugby boss Andy Robinson and Ollie Smith, London Welsh assistant coach, preview the Green King IPA Championship final, the first leg of which is on Wednesday, May 28.
