It was a proud day for Luke Wallace when, at the age of 22, he led Harlequins to a 32-14 win over Sale Sharks in the LV=Cup final at Six Ways, the home of Worcester Warriors last March. He was also among their four try-scorers.
St Albans-born Luke was educated at Cottesmore School and Tonbridge and in August 2012 signed a contract with Harlequins until the end of the 2014-15 campaign. He had been shortlisted for the Land Rover Discovery of the season towards the end of 2011-12 at the Aviva Premiership awards and his development has been ongoing since then.
Luke has spent time on loan with Esher and is a product of the Harlequins EPDG system and academy. An open side flanker, he had already made 52 senior appearances for Harlequins before the start of the 2013-14 season, including 29 in the Premiership and eight in the Heineken Cup. He played for the club in the 2009 Middlesex Sevens and his first team debut was Newcastle Falcons that November.
He represented Sussex U18 and excelled for Harlequins during the RWC in 2011, the year he signed his first senior contract.
