England Under 18

The England Under 18 programme, run by John Fletcher alongside assistant Peter Walton, accelerates the development of the stars of the future and they take on European opponents as well as travelling to the Southern Hemisphere each year. England U18 secured a third successive Grand Slam in 2009-10, averaging more than five tries per game.

Jack Walker

Born in the village of Steeton between Skipton and Keighley in Yorkshire, Jack Walker relishes his family links with the game. His late father Johnny was in the England U21 squad, played for Otley and in rugby league for Keighley, Hunslet, Batley and Wakefield. Jack said: “He made it possible for me to achieve everything so far, was a great inspiration and I have huge respect for him."

Since taking up the game at the age of 12 with Acklam, a club based in his home town of Middlesbrough, Lewis Boyce has represented North Yorkshire and Yorkshire at U14 and U15 level, together with the North of England and England U16 and U17.

Lucas Slowik

Lucas Slowik

As a student, taking a Level 3 Sports Diploma, at SGS Filton College, Lucas Slowik has much to anticipate. He received the Carol Humphreys Memorial Bursary Fund of £1,000 in March 2013 to accelerate his rugby development. Born in Macon, France he qualifies through his English mother and is a member of the Gold Elite Player Development Group at Bristol, where he has completed his initial season with the club.
